Nearly 210,000 Votes Cast to Determine Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin Finalists

Top 4 Moves on to Final Round, Popular Vote to Decide 2019 Winner

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group announced on Monday the Top 4 products moving on in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest. Since the contest kicked off in early September, nearly 210,000 votes have been cast in multiple rounds.

The Top 4 products were announced on Monday afternoon via Facebook Live on the WMC Facebook page. The announcement show can be viewed by clicking here.

 

 

“We have a strong group of finalists competing to be the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin, and we are excited to see who will be crowned the 2019 winner,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer. “This contest is about more than just the winner, however. Our state has a remarkable manufacturing heritage and a strong manufacturing future. This contest showcases both, and it is meant to bring attention to the cool things we make here and the rewarding careers available making those cool things.”

More than 65,000 votes were cast in four matchups from Sept. 24 to Sept. 29. The winners in each matchup will now compete in a final popular-vote round that will decide the 2019 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.

The ultimate winner of the 2019 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest will be determined by a popular vote from Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Tuesday, Oct 8 at noon. Individuals can continue to vote once per day, per device during that period. The winner will be announced at the WMC Foundation Business & Industry Luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at State Fair Park in Milwaukee.
