Regina McMichael to Deliver Inspiring Keynote at Safety Forum in Appleton on Oct. 2
APPLETON – Regina McMichael – who lost her husband in a tragic workplace accident and President of The Learning Factory – will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Safety Forum hosted by Wisconsin Safety Council on Oct. 2 at the Red Lion Hotel – Paper Valley. Her remarks will explain why safety is critical to every decision we make both at work and at home.
Attendees to the annual Safety Forum can also participate in one of two educational tracks aimed at safety and human resource professionals and a pre-luncheon keynote from Robert Bonack, the Area Director for the OSHA Appleton Office.
The Human Resources Track will feature breakout sessions on Human Capital Programs, Opioids and Marijuana in the Workplace and the Hidden Cost of Workplace Incidents. The Manufacturing Track will feature breakout sessions on OSHA Investigations, Combustible Dust and How Safety Professionals can get a Seat in the C-suite.

Human resource professionals are also encouraged to attend the Worker’s Compensation Law Symposium on Oct. 1 – the day before the Safety Forum. The Symposium will provide human resource professionals, safety professionals, employers, insurers and health care providers with important legal and compliance assistance for some of the most challenging employment laws and regulations. Symposium attendees will hear from Chuck Palmer, the author of the “Wisconsin Worker’s Compensation Law: A Handbook for Employers,” and have the option to purchase the latest edition of the handbook with their registration.
In addition, the Council is excited to welcome Will Gray, AVP of Health and Productivity Analysis at The Hartford, to deliver an informative keynote on data, analytics and predictive modeling in the industry.
