NEENAH – U.S. Representative Reid Ribble (R-Appleton) will address how regulations are thwarting job creation in a forum Wednesday morning sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the state chamber.
Ribble will be joined by Ross Eisenberg, vice president of energy and resources policy at the National Association of Manufacturers.
Ribble is sponsoring H.R. 2898, the Regulation Moratorium and Jobs Preservation Act, to put an immediate halt to new job-killing federal red tape.
The EPA has proposed a series of rules that will significantly increase the cost of energy that will hurt jobs in the Fox River Valley and throughout the state. Wisconsin will be uniquely impacted by the EPA rules because of our heavy concentration of manufacturing jobs, and our investment in coal for electricity. This Decision 2012 Briefing will explain how these rules are likely to increase the cost of doing business, and what can be done to rein in the EPA.
WHERE: Neenah at the Best Western Bridgewood Resort Hotel.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 24, 2012: 7:00 a.m., registration; 7:30 a.m, program until 9 a.m.
