Vote Online for Wisconsin’s Coolest Product
MADISON – Voting will be hot to settle a fierce debate: What is Wisconsin’s coolest thing?
With the election season about to commence in earnest, so is the balloting for the online competition to determine what is Wisconsin’s coolest product. Yachts? Shoes? Motorcycles? Beer? Cheeseheads? Freezers? Mining equipment? Robotic wildlife? Generators? What is coolest?
The people will decide! Visit www.madeinwis.com to cast your vote!
WMC, Wisconsin’s chamber of commerce, in partnership with the Johnson Financial Group, is sponsoring the competition. More than 200 products have been nominated with online submissions and online voting has commenced and will conclude Monday, September 12.
“We need folks to go to www.madeinwis.com and cast their ballots for the coolest thing made in Wisconsin,” said Kurt R. Bauer, WMC President/CEO. “We are a manufacturing state and the diversity and the quality of the products that have been nominated are a testament to the pride and quality that is Wisconsin.”
Peter X. Engel, Executive Vice President of Johnson Financial Group, said manufacturing is critical to a strong economy and we should celebrate our heritage.
“We make great products in our state,” said Engel. “Hundreds of them are world famous. Some of them are obscure. But, we are a state that makes things – cool things –and that should be celebrated.”
The Wisconsin’s Coolest Thing Award will be presented at the State of Wisconsin Business Luncheon in October.
Nominees were submitted online this summer.
