Alto-Shaam is a recognized leader in the food service industry, offering commercial cooking solutions and systems such as the original Cook & Hold oven, Combitherm® ovens, QuickchillerTM blast chillers, convection ovens, smokers, XcelerateTM hi-speed ovens, rotisserie ovens, holding cabinets, heated display cases, merchandisers, food wells and fryers. In April 2016, Alto-Shaam was named Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year for companies with 300 to 750 employees by Wisconsin Manufacturing & Commerce. The company was recognized for its commitment to innovation, philanthropy, technological advances, commitment to customer satisfaction and quality jobs.
How they’re growing: Alto-Shaam has completed a $8.3 million expansion to create an additional 26,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity.  As a significant source of jobs in Waukesha County, te expansion adds to Alto-Shaam’s continued investment in the people and facilities of Wisconsin. Thanks to the support provided by the state of Wisconsin, certain manufacturing functions that had been performed by suppliers outside of Wisconsin will be brought to the Menomonee Falls facility.
The centralization and realignment of various automated equipment and manufacturing process works to drive cost reduction, improve product quality and further apply Alto-Shaam’s lean production principles by reducing scrap and improving raw material utilization.
