Wisconsin Business World Announces ‘Business is a Force for Good’ Essay Contest Winners

MADISON- Wisconsin Business World – a program of WMC Foundation – announced the winners of its annual “Business is a Force for Good” Essay Contest. The essay contest – in partnership with Georgia Pacific – was held statewide for students in grades 6-12, giving them the opportunity to highlight the importance of business in their community, especially in response to the pandemic.

The winners of the Wisconsin Business World “Business is a Force for Good” Essay Contest are:

  • Kaylie Clark:

    8th Grader, New Glarus Middle School

  • Ella Waterworth:

    Junior, Saint Croix Falls High School

  • Muntaha Raza:

    Sophomore, Brookfield Central High School

“We’re proud to honor the winners of the Business is a ‘Force for Good Essay Contest’. All of these students have a thorough understanding of how significant the relationship between business and community is,” said Michelle Grajkowski Director of Wisconsin Business World. “Especially during the challenges communities faced with the pandemic this past year, these students were able to identify countless examples of local businesses stepping up to the plate to help those in need.  All of these students will go on to be great business leaders using their work ethic and innovative thinking to give back to the community around them.”

The top three winners of the contest each receive a $500 cash prize.

Since 1982, Wisconsin Business World- a program of WMC Foundation-  has educated more than 25,000 high school students on business, entrepreneurism and the free market, through Summer Camps, one-day programs, online curriculum and classroom presentations. The Business World message is simple :- Business is a Force for Good.
