WMC Adds Cory Fish to Government Relations Team

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) announced Wednesday that the organization added a new member to its government relations team. Cory Fish will be Director of Tax, Transportation & Legal Affairs.
Fish – a licensed attorney in Wisconsin – joins WMC after serving as Legal Counsel to Sen. Alberta Darling, co-chair of the powerful Joint Committee on Finance. He also advised Sen. Darling on budget and policy issues ranging from higher education and regulatory reform to natural resources and transportation.
Prior to his time in the legislature, Fish held various legal roles with the Great Lakes Legal Foundation, Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman and Gov. Scott Walker.
“Cory will be a great addition to WMC,” said WMC Senior Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley. “We are excited for him to hit the ground running as a tireless advocate for pro-business and pro-growth reforms.”
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Fish earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from UW-Eau Claire and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude and made the Dean’s List four times.
“I am ecstatic to join WMC at such an important time for our state,” Fish added. “Wisconsin is heading in the right direction, but there is still more to do. I look forward to working with our members to ensure their voice is heard at the State Capitol.”
His first day was Monday, Oct. 23.
