WMC Announces Staff Changes

Pettersen promoted to VP

Madison – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, the state chamber of commerce, announced Katy Pettersen has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing. This newly created position will oversee the marketing and branding efforts of the chamber. Pettersen is also editor of WMC’s quarterly flagship publication, Wisconsin Business Voice, and is the lead on WMC’s video strategy. In addition, Pettersen’s department oversees the social media outreach and other member communications.
Pettersen has been with WMC since 2004 in various capacities including membership, communications, event planning and fundraising. For seven years prior to joining WMC she was with the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. Pettersen holds a BS in general business with a concentration in marketing.
WMC also announced the hiring of Patrick Simonett, director of membership, who will lead the association’s membership efforts; Bryson Machonga and Adam Kettler, membership sales representatives; and Ute Bruns, employee benefits account manager who will administer WMC’s employee benefits member outreach.
WMC is the statewide chamber of commerce, representing 3,500 companies of all sizes from all sectors of the economy.
