WMC Lauds $100 Million Property Tax Relief Commitment

MADISON – The Wisconsin chamber of commerce (WMC) Thursday praised Governor Scott Walker and legislative leaders for committing $100 million for schools to help lower property taxes.

WMC Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley said:

“Wisconsin has been able to generate a surplus because of solid fiscal management at the state Capitol under Governor Walker and legislative majorities led by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. Thankfully, surplus funds are being used to control property taxes and are not being wasted on frivolous new spending programs.”
