8th Congressional District Candidates Spar at GOP Primary Debate

Ahead of the primary in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District, WMC hosted a debate for the GOP candidates vying for the open seat vacated by Mike Gallagher earlier in the year.

The three candidates, State Senator Andre Jacque, former State Senator Roger Roth, and businessman Tony Wied answered a variety of questions from WMC’s Kurt Bauer, Scott Manley, and Rachel Ver Velde.

Topics centered around economic and business issues, including inflation, affordable and reliable energy, regulation reform, national security, defending the free market and consumer choice, and healthcare costs.

Roth and Wied touted their business experience and endorsements, while Jacque spoke to his record of conservatism in the state legislature.
