WMC submitted comments to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation on its plan to allocate federal dollars for electric vehicle charging stations across the state. The draft “Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan” calls for building EV charging stations along designated highways in Wisconsin.
WMC encouraged the WisDOT to prioritize private sector investment to the maximum extent permitted by state and federal law. WMC believes that state or local tax dollars should not supplement EV charging station funds and that EV infrastructure should be privately owned and operated.
