Gov. Romney Taps Ryan for VP

MADISON – U.S. Representative Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) has been selected as the vice presidential running mate of Gov. Mitt Romney. Romney and Ryan are slated to appear together at 8 a.m. today on the U.S.S. Wisconsin battleship in Norfolk, VA to make the announcement.

The Associated Press and other media outlets reported the Ryan selection early Saturday morning.

WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer’s statement on the Ryan selection to be the vice presidential running mate of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Romney:

“The Wisconsin business community applauds Governor Mitt Romney’s selection of Congressman Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate. Congressman Ryan has continued our state’s proud history of electing leaders who have distinguished themselves and Wisconsin at the national level.
