WMC Applauds Assembly for Passing a Middle Class Tax Cut

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) applauded the Assembly for passing a middle class tax cut on Tuesday without raising taxes on manufacturers, an industry that employs 490,000 people in the state. After the legislation’s approval, WMC’s Director of Tax, Transportation and Legal Affairs Cory Fish released the following the statement:

“We do not need to increase taxes on manufacturers and small businesses to cut taxes for middle class Wisconsinites. Thanks to smart budgeting in the past, Wisconsin has a surplus, and taxpayers deserve to get more of their hard-earned money back. The bill passed today is both responsible and will give middle class taxpayers a significant tax cut. We urge both the Senate and Gov. Evers to support the bill.”
