New WMC Ads Reveal Governor Evers’ Failed Record on Education

MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) – through its affiliate, WMC Issues Mobilization Council – released two 30-second ads today highlighting Gov. Tony Evers’ policy failures on education.

“The data is clear that student achievement has suffered under Tony Evers, with nearly two-thirds of students below proficiency in reading and math,” said WMC Executive Vice President of Government Relations Scott Manley. “Wisconsinites deserve to know the truth about Gov. Evers’ record.”

One of the ads is running statewide, while the other is focused specifically on Milwaukee. Both ads are running on streaming and digital platforms with a significant six-figure investment by the WMC Issues Mobilization Council.

“It’s shameful that our educational achievement is so low in Milwaukee, and that Gov. Evers has vetoed policies that would help improve the lives of students and families,” Manley added in reference to the Milwaukee-focused ad. “Our achievement gap is simply unacceptable, and we need to pursue policies that give Milwaukee students a better opportunity to succeed.”
