MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) — the combined state chamber and manufacturers’ association — announced that Jacob Fischer has joined the organization as its new director of communications and marketing. Fischer brings years of strategic communications, media relations, and rapid response experience to WMC’s communications and marketing team.
“Jacob is a great fit for WMC,” said WMC President/CEO Kurt Bauer. “His strategic communications experience and vision will be invaluable as we continue our efforts to make Wisconsin the most business-friendly state.”
Fischer previously served on Congressman Bryan Steil’s staff from 2022 through 2023 before joining the Republican National Committee (RNC) as Press Secretary for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Fischer stayed with the RNC following the Convention, serving as Wisconsin Communications Director through the 2024 presidential election. Most recently, Fischer served as Judge Brad Schimel’s communications director for his 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign.
“I’m honored and excited to join WMC’s brilliant team,” said Fischer. “WMC plays a vital role in supporting and advancing Wisconsin’s business community. I look forward to helping share the stories, successes, and impact of our state’s incredible manufacturers and job creators.”
Fischer is a Wisconsin native and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
