WMC’s Manley Warns of Tax Increases Without Act 10

After a Dane County judge ruled to repeal portions of Act 10, WMC’s Scott Manley joined Vicki McKenna on WIBA to discuss the impact of the ruling on the business community. Wisconsin employers supported Act 10 as a means of fiscal responsibility.

“Businesses in Wisconsin right now pay some of the highest taxes in the county,” Manley said. “Act 10 has saved taxpayers many billions of dollars.”

Without Act 10 in place, Manley shared, property taxes will increase, further burdening taxpayers and making the business climate less competitive.

Manley also expressed concerns about the unilateral decision made by the Evers-appointed judge, warning of the political precent the ruling sets.
