A new survey of the state’s business leaders by WMC finds large support for tariffs for China, but not as much for Canada or Mexico.
WMC President & CEO Kurt Bauer joins Jay Weber to discuss other findings of the survey, including support for immigration reform, increased visa programs, border security, tax cuts, and more. Manufacturers are also calling on President Trump to make permanent the tax cuts implemented in 2017 under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).
“If you want a manufacturing renaissance, you really need three things: you need a strong tax policy that incentivizes production in the United States, you need a strong workforce, and you need a flow of energy,” Bauer shared.
