MADISON – Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) announced on Monday that Chandler Swansen will be the organization’s new Director of Grassroots Advocacy. Swansen is an experienced fundraiser, having worked on local legislative races and campaigns for Congress, U.S. Senate and Governor.
“We are extremely excited for Chandler to be part of our team here at WMC,” said Scott Manley, WMC Senior Vice President of Government Relations. “His background and expertise will be vital to our continued efforts to engage our members and the public on important public policy issues.”
Swansen most recently served as Finance Director for Gov. Scott Walker’s re-election campaign, raising over $25 million. Previously, he led fundraising efforts for Congressman Sean Duffy, Mike McFadden’s run for U.S. Senate in Minnesota and multiple Wisconsin state legislative races.
“I am beyond excited to join such a powerful team here at WMC,” added Swansen. “Wisconsin’s business community drives our economy, and it is critical for their voices to be heard. I look forward to working with WMC’s diverse membership as we continue to make Wisconsin a great place to live, work and play.”
Swansen is a Minnesota native and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in Sociology, at Winona State University. He will also serve as Director of WMC Issues Mobilization Council, a 501(c)(4) affiliate of WMC.
