WMC Thanks Senate for USMCA Passage, Asks President Trump to Quickly Sign Agreement

MADISON – After the U.S Senate voted 89 to 10 in favor of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) President & CEO Kurt Bauer released the following statement:

“We’re glad the Senate followed the lead of the U.S. House of Representatives by passing the USMCA. With one in four manufacturing firms in Wisconsin exporting goods to Canada and Mexico and more than 44,000 Wisconsinites having jobs that rely on trade with our two neighbors, this trade agreement is crucial to Wisconsin’s manufacturers, farmers and employers. WMC and our members commend Sen. Ron Johnson and Sen. Tammy Baldwin for voting in favor of the USMCA and ask President Trump to quickly sign this agreement.”
